Melissa Torres Moving on From WWLP in Springfield

Melissa Torres is leaving WWLP in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The Nexstar NBC affiliate said Torres is moving out west to work at another Nexstar station. By the goodbye photo we posted, it looks like she’s going to KRQE in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

“I’m filled with a multitude of emotions as I close this chapter in my career,” Torres said. “It’s truly been such a dream to tell the stories of the incredible and vibrant communities here in western Massachusetts. Representation matters, and I’m grateful to have been a role model for others who look like me, come from a similar background as me, or speak the same language as me.”
