Farage to set out his ‘vision for the country’ with £25,000-a-head do | Politics | News

Nigel Farage has invited potential donors to an event where he will lay out his “vision for the country” at a cost of up to £25,000 per person.

General tickets for the do in London later this month cost £10,000 with VIP options available at higher prices.

The event comes soon after the party appointed property billionaire Nick Candy as its treasurer.

The invitation said: “As Britain faces unprecedented challenges, Reform UK is paving the way for bold, transformative change.

“Join us as Nigel Farage presents his vision for the country, and help play a pivotal role in shaping Britain’s future.”

Reform hopes the evening will raise a substantial seven-figure sum.

The event is understood to be the first of several being planned, with some future fundraisers expected to be held outside the UK.

It comes as the Government considers potential reforms to political party funding amid the prospect of Elon Musk’s possible donation to Reform UK.

The tech billionaire met Mr Farage and Reform UK’s treasurer, Nick Candy, at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida in December.

But Mr Musk seemingly withdrew his support for the Clacton MP’s leadership over Mr Farage’s rejection of calls to support jailed far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.

Mr Musk posted: “The Reform Party need a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes.”
