Pedestrian dies after being knocked down
A pedestrian has died after being knocked down in Dungannon, County Tyrone on Friday evening.
Police received a report, shortly 18:30 GMT, of the single-vehicle collision on John Street.
Emergency services attended, however, the man died from his injuries in hospital.
The road was closed but has since reopened.
Speaking to BBC News NI, independent councillor for Dungannon Barry Monteith said that “everyone is shocked and saddened” by the news.
“He will be sadly missed by his family,” Monteith said.
