Viewers Abandon the News Networks During Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Day produces a rare second-place weekday finish for CNN during total day and primetime in total viewers and the A25-54 demo. Otherwise, the holiday saw all networks hit viewership lows as a result of specials added to the evening portion of their programming schedules. Fox News was still able to break the million viewer mark in both dayparts with holiday editions of their usual programs. CNN broadcast a marathon of its Stanley Tucci travel series, while MSNBC ran multiple editions of My Generation. Both networks saw under 200,000 total viewers during primetime.
